Systems Technology, Inc. is proud to announce the seventh annual meeting of the STISIM Drive™ User Group. This year's conference will be held in Belgium at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven with demonstrations at Hasselt University. The conference is being organized by Arvid Harmsen and Alex van Helden of A&A vof. Past meetings of the user group have been held at Cranfield University, University of California San Diego, Robert Bosch GmbH, Stuttgart, Germany, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Roma Tre, Italy, and last year's conference at the Université Laval in Quebec.

Call for Papers

The main topic of this year's conference is:

"ASSESSMENT AND REHABILITATION OF DRIVING ABILITY
THROUGH DRIVING SIMULATION"

All topics related to the use of STISIM Drive&trade are also welcome and may be presented as a paper, a poster or a demonstration. Suggested topics include:

1. Techniques and approaches assessment and evaluation
2. Effectiveness of simulation in education, training and rehabilitation
3. Simulator sickness, Driver fatigue
4. Use of simulation to understand health and pharmaceutical impacts on driver performance
5. General research, training and assessment applications of STISIM Drive™, including scenario development and extensions using the Open Module

In order to be considered for a paper, presentation, poster and/or demonstration please send us a 500-word abstract of your proposed contribution. Include Tables and Figures in addition to the 500-word abstract to fully describe your contribution. This should be done as soon as possible so that we can prepare an agenda for early distribution.

Critical dates are as follows:

• Abstract Submission - May 1, 2009 (email abstracts to arvid@a-ah.nl)
• Acceptance and Notification to contributors - June 1, 2009
• Paper/Presentation Submission - August 1st
