This year's conference is co-hosted by Université Laval and builds on the tradition established by previous meetings held at Cranfield University, University of California San Diego, Robert Bosch GmbH, Stuttgart, Germany, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and last year's conference held at the University of Roma Tre, Italy.

Elin Schold-Davis has headed the American Occupational Therapy Association's Older Driver Initiative since its launch in 2003. An Occupational Therapist for 25 years, she has practiced at the Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Institute in Minneapolis, MN, since 1982 with a focus in adult rehabilitation. Ms. Schold-Davis is a certified driving rehabilitation specialist (CDRS) and Chair of the AOTA Older Driver Initiative Expert Panel and has authored articles and lectured nationally and internationally on the topics of both cognitive rehabilitation and driving.
Dr. Michel Bédard is a Canada Research Chair in Aging and Health and the Director of the Public Health program at Lakehead University (Ontario, Canada). He has published and lectured extensively on driving abilities of older adults. He is an active member of the CANdrive initiative (Canadian Driving Research Initiative for Vehicular Safety in the Elderly). CANdrive is an interdisciplinary health related research program dedicated to improving the safety of older drivers.
